About the Mitre Literary Review

The MLR was founded in 2005 by a number of students at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. The periodical was an outgrowth of and a literary companion to The Mitre, the quality student newspaper at Scotland’s first university and the third-oldest university in the English-speaking world.

Under the editorship of Robert O’Brien, two issues of the MLR were printed, one in the winter of 2005, and a second number in the autumn of the same year. Both the Mitre and the Mitre Literary Review have now fallen into abeyance.
