Last night was the St. Mary’s College Society ball, held at the St Andrews Golf Hotel on the Scores. A good time was had by all, and was augmented by the presence of our good friend Mr. Stephen Oliver up visiting from Stonyhurst where he teaches.
The Ball featured a three-course meal, singing by the Accidentals (the university’s girls a capella group), followed by ceilidh dancing and more. At our table were Samantha and Scott Ferguson (she’s studying to be an Episcopal minister, he’s in the R.A.F.), Rob, Maria, Abby, Jon, Stephen, and Matt and Susan, a couple from the Chicago.
The Rev. Dr. Bradley and Miss Katherine Longworth.
“Ah, Lucky Strikes. Interesting, interesting.” Stephen Oliver takes interest in a crumpled pack of cigarettes.
Rob O’Brien acted as waiter for the evening. No, I jest, I jest.
Students, tutors, faculty, friends, staff, etc. dancing.
The lads: Jon, Stephen, yours truly, and Rob.
The Rev. Dr. and Mrs. Bradley.
