Dino Marcantonio Hath a Blog!

Dino Marcantonio, habitual luncheon companion of your humble & obedient scribe, not to mention frequent commenter upon this little corner of the web, has entered into the realms of blogging himself. You can find his musings on the theory and practice of architecture here. They make for some pretty good reading so far.

If I can find more Waugh, this blog business will be a cinch!

Marcantonio’s dominican church has not even a cross on the façade…oh, sorry, yes there is a two-lines black crossing on down left..Yes, that construction must be a church.

First, the Dominican church he referenced is not “his”, it was designed by Bertram Grosvernor Goodhue, one of the greatest American architects ever.

Second, I think if you look closely you will find a sculpted crucifix above the entrance.

Perhaps you have confused the Oakland cathedral for the Dominican church?

“Oakland cathedral” has not even a church… etc
This is the correct script. I wrote the name of Marcantonio but was thinking angrily about Frank Gehry et similia. Sorry
