I wish we had more leaders who actually experienced trials and tribulations themselves, Ian Smith was one of those along with Baden Powell, Churchill de Gaulle and other old school men and women who actually did real things, fought real wars lead real people before becoming our political leaders. Our current leaders are just like a lot of vultures

One day, Andrew, I hope I might be able to speak to you about Ian Smith. although I can see why he might be admired, I find him to be a confusing and ambiguous character. Too often his admirable rhetoric was completely incommensurate with his actions.
