Grand Central Station at Night

Charles Frederick William Mielatz, Grand Central Station at Night

1890, Smithsonian American Art Museum

This, of course, is not the Grand Central we know today, but its immediate predecessor.

I had not heard of Mielatz before seeing this, but he reminds me of another great printmaker named Louis Lozowick who also had a similar style and did a lot of prints of scenes around the New York City area in the first half of the 20th century. If people are fans of Mielatz, I would encourage them to research Lozowick as well.
